Little Rooster Bread Company is nestled on a family-owned sustainable farm in West Michigan. It echoes the values of the place in which it grows; its breads reflect that flavor. What is daily baked here on this farm is daily delivered locally bringing with it time honored farm freshness. Good bread is, by definition, local, the french “terrier”, meaning of this place.

Good bread cannot be rushed. Ever. Little Rooster uses the old world art of fermentation. The production of a loaf of bread is measured in days, not hours. Only the passage of time can invoke the presence of whole grains. The result is bread that is richly flavored, full bodied, lightly textured and honey browned.

Little Rooster wholeheartedly selects pure ingredients. The eggs come from heritage chickens that graze adjacent pastures; the honey is raw and local; herbs are harvested directly from the farm herb garden; grains are whole and certified organic. This bread is honest, nourishing and real.

There is a plucky little rooster on the farm. What he
lacks in size he more than makes up for in spirit. He
announces each dawn without fail and defends the
hen house with integrity and grit. He is well respected,
much appreciated and loves the bread scraps. Such
